GETTING TO KNOW ME & Poem 1, Be happy π
I
started writing poems and short stories at a very young age. Reading have
always been a huge part of my life. I am glad that as a teacher, my talent will
never sit on me, I would use it and make it easier for everyone to teach
literature or to enjoy the uniqueness language of poetry, especially primary
school learners and teachers. I do not want my poems to only end in my
classroom. I created this blog, to
showcase my talent, though creating children’s poems suitable to be used in
classrooms by teachers in literature lessons. I would love to inspire and add
to the creation of a generation that enjoy, love and find happiness in poetry.
I know how children are good at transforming
knowledge and skills, it can be in a present time or in a long run. Poetry is a
best valuable tool, when it comes to language development and enrichment. I
have considered basic elements of literature, poetry devices, figurative
language and other components related to the integration of language skills.
I
would love to share short simple tips on how to create a poem:
1. 1.Decide what to write about.
2. 2. Decide the best topic and format for your poem.
3. 3. Explore words, include smiles, metaphors, rhymes and rhythms
